SCOTT MACDONALD

Scott was born in the small village of Eaglesham, south of Glasgow.
From a young age he was a keen painter and photographer. He worked as a colour re-toucher in the advertising world and after thirteen years, decided to pursue his passion for music. This passion led him to perform in many countries around the world and he feels like he may have played in almost every bar in the west of Scotland!
His love for music and the Highlands has led him to finally pursue his passion for painting. Scott is now a dedicated full-time painter as well as a musician. Through his painting, he wants to capture the beautiful places he visits and express the memories he has in his heart.
He says: ‘To me, my painting and photography is all about the spirit of the light, that chink of positivity amongst the cloud. I have always felt an immense pull to the Highlands and Islands of Scotland'
His seascapes and landscapes are now in great demand as well as his recent Glasgow cityscapes where he dramatically but sensitively captures the city that we know and love.
