Smithy Gallery was established in November 2005. We are a contemporary fine art gallery situated in the beautiful village of Blanefield, just north of Glasgow and twenty minutes from the city centre. Our aim is the promotion of quality art within a beautiful and welcoming setting.
The gallery is housed in the village's original blacksmiths cottage, lovingly restored by Smithy Gallery owner, Natalie Harrison. The blacksmiths, always the centre of the village, has become a much-loved landmark once again. The building itself reflects the quality of the work it holds.
With ever-changing exhibitions, Smithy Gallery is proving to be an attractive draw with tourists and art-lovers coming from miles around to wander through this 300 year old building and enjoy work from some of the finest talent in Scotland, and beyond. With its cosy seating area and wood-burning stove, Smithy Gallery welcomes art-lovers all year round.
