ARTIST STATEMENT

'These abstracts are a continuation of my practice and interest in colour and mark making, whilst playing with the picture plane and depth of field. Colour layering and mark making are the corner stone of these works.
The process is for me very organic with no specific influences or final image in mind. Rather my method is more contemplative and meditative which leads to a combination of elements and sensation.
For me it becomes a mix of elements and sensations, of colours and shapes which create a space of memory and feeling that I hope the viewer can fully participate in.'
