ARTIST STATEMENT
'I strive to super-manage my life to maintain calm. When making art I am freed of that constant thinking and planning. In creating mixed media collages, I am informed by the landscapes I have known and the architecture of the cities I have lived in. I begin by surrounding myself with a commotion of materials, images and words, retaining my sculptor’s love of scale, form and surface. Working instinctively while composing this disarray of objects, I find a natural, happy quiet fills my mind and studio space.'
